DFW | August 2009 | Founders' Plaza | Heavy iron...

Heard over the tower frequency that a China Cargo 747 was heading out and made my way to Founders' Plaza to catch it in hopes of it NOT being tail number B-2425...and it was. I swear, this particular bird is stalking me. Every time. B-2425. B-2425. B-2425. Nothing else but B-2425. I'll crap a brick when China Cargo decides to send something other than B-2425 to DFW.

But it *is* a 747, therefore I can't resist taking a picture. Or five. Maybe six. Okay, it was seven. Hmmmph.

Meet N785AN, up close and personal. Gotta wonder if any of the passengers with their shades up in first class are looking out the right side of the aircraft and wondering about the flock of airportnerds around the airport beacon at Founders' Plaza........

This Boeing 777-200ER was built and delivered to American in March 2000.

Trying out a little pseudo-HDR but only a small amount on N785AN...ended up getting a different look, but in introduced a lot of noise in the background. But hey, Rolls-Royce Trent engines are inherently *awesome*.

N785AN just seconds from touchdown with those Bigfoot mains about to smoke 'em if they got' em on 18R.
