DFW | August 2009 | Founders' Plaza | One early morning...

Beacon flash! This is N33714, a Boeing 737-700 that was built and delivered to Continental in September 1998. This is a bit of an unusual aircraft for DFW, not that it's a Continental 737NG, but N33714 is one of Continental's ETOPS-certified 737s. And this one was coming from Houston. Go figure, must be the vagaries of scheduling, I guess.....

First time I've seen the new Angry Widget colors Delta MD-90 at DFW. This is N902DA, built and delivered to Delta in February 1995. The usual morning Delta MD-90 departure at DFW has been with a Deltaflot colors bird everytime I've been out at Founders' Plaza in the early morning.

[Captain Johnathan]Yeah baby, yeah baby![/Captain Johnathan]Aaaaaand here we have ABX Air's 767-200F just seconds from touchdown...it's a bit dark but I was there early in the morning and who the hell doesn't love pimp-slapped freight birds? This particular aircraft is N745AX, built and delivered originally to Delta Air Lines waaaaay back in May 1983 as N110DL.

Wider shot of N745AX about to kiss Mother Earth on 18R. When she was N110DL with Delta, she was built and delivered in the classic Widget livery and then got the Interim "Ron Allen" livery but was sold to ABX Air before she ever got to fly in the Deltaflot colors.

N745AX rolls off the active and heads to the ABX ramp just south of the UPS facility. Delta sold her to ABX in 2006 and in December of that year she was converted to freighter configuration by Israeli Aircraft Industries' Bedek Division in Tel Aviv.
